Officers and Board of Trustees

Atty. Japok is the current PDBF president and chairman of the board of trustees. Prior to being president, he served as PDBF secretary general from 2018 to 2022. He is a founder of Amateur Paddlers Philippines (AMPPHI) Dragon Boat Crew (2011), a regular member club of the PDBF. He has been in the dragon boat racing sport for 14 years. He has competed in the 2010 IDBF Club Crew World Dragon Boat Championship in Macau and other international and local dragon boat races. He was the team manager for the Philippines in the 2019 IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Pattaya, Thailand. He  holds a Grade 1 IDBF license as international race official and has served as international race official in the 2023 IDBF All Nations Cup in Thailand. 

Professionally, Atty. Japok is a litigation lawyer and a full-time supervising legislative counselor at the House of Representatives. He is also the counsel and corporate secretary of  various private companies and socio-civic organizations. He is a part-time college instructor, teaching law subjects at the Far Eastern University - Manila. He is an alumnus of the University of the Philippines - Diliman for his bachelor's degree, and of the Philippine Christian University for his law degree.

Marcia is the current PDBF secretary general and a member of the board of trustees. She previously served two terms as PDBF president from 2009 to 2016. She is a founder and current board member of Triton Dragon Boat Racing Team (2009), a regular member team of the PDBF. She started doing dragon boat in 1998 while dragon boat was still under  Amateur Rowing Association of the Philippines (ARAP). She holds a Grade 3 IDBF license for organizational matters and Grade 2 IDBF license as international race official. She has competed in various international and local dragon boat races, and has officiated in several world championships of the IDBF, ADBF, Asian Games, and SEA Games, to name a few. She recently served as international race official in the 2023 IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championship in Pattaya, Thailand.

Professionally, Marcia owns a Manila-based wholesale business, selling medical supplies. She is a licensed medical technologist and pharmacist, with another degree in Botany. She comes from a family of doctors and medical professionals. She is an alumnus of the University of Santo Tomas where she was a varsity basketball player. 

Bryan is the current PDBF treasurer and a member of the board of trustees. He is the current president of Dragons Republic Paddlers Club, a regular club team member of the PDBF. He started his career in dragon boat as a member and later on, officer of Filipino Dragons Singapore, which he joined in 2015. When he transferred to Manila for good in 2017, he was elected president of his Manila-based club with which he has competed in various local and international dragon boat racing competitions. He has been a race volunteer of the PDBF since 2021. 

When not doing dragon boat, Bryan is a vintage big bike enthusiast and musician. By profession, he is a supervisor in a BPO company. He holds a degree in Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. 

Rommel is the current special projects officer and an elected board member of the PDBF. He started his career as a member of the PDBF's national dragon boat men's team in 1999 under ARAP, the predecessor of the PDBF. He has competed  and won in the biggest dragon boat competitions such as the Southeast Asian Games, the Asian Games, and the IDBF World Championships. After PDBF was disenfranchised as NSA in 2011, he returned to his mother unit, the Philippine Air Force, where he served as manager and coach of the Philippine Air Force Dragon Boat Team. Rommel has been serving as race official since 2002, before he was deployed as part of the Philippine contingent to the UN Peace Corps in Syria. He is a Grade 1 IDBF-licensed race official and is actively officiating in local and international races. 

Although he has retired from service as a technical sergeant of the Philippine Air Force, Rommel continues to train and actively participate in the PDBF's elite dragon boat team. He is a licensed marksmanship instructor, is married, and has three beautiful daughters. 

Fondly called and known in the dragon boat community as "Tikboy," Nyllressan is a board member of the PDBF. He served as PDBF president from 2018 to 2022. He is a founder of One Piece Drakon Sangres, a regular member club of the PDBF. He started doing dragon boat in 1999 with ARAP. He was also captain of the winning PDBF Sinag Perlas Team that competed and raked medals in Busan, South Korea in 2015 and 2016. He co-managed the PDBF Team during the 2019 IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championship in Pattaya, Thailand. He holds a Grade 1 IDBF license as international race official, and has been officiating for PDBF since 2018.

Other than dragon boat, Tikboy is busy with some businesses and private ventures. He also volunteers for the socially-relevant activities of the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity, of which he is an officer.
